Im toying with the idea of trying to raise these to eat the trash in the pasture and sell. supposedly they are very hardy and dont need much maintenance. They also multiply pretty fast so it seems you can make a few dollars.
anyone raising these?

There is a lady north of Zachary who raises them. Raises them on open pastures like cattle. They are fairly hardy and she always has a demand for the lambs. Arabs mostly.
They don't compare to the true meat sheep when it comes to carcass quality.

In Ukraine, everyone have massive testicles.

seems like you could make 2-300 per year on each sheep that you keep, selling the lambs.

It's the same on my block. Couldn't buy my house without an exam.

We have about 200 head on my Dad's farm. They need mostly grass though. If you are looking for something to eat briars and weeds, you need goats. Overall they are fairly hardy though. About twice a year we send them through a pen and give them shots and trim their feet, but that's about it.

Yeah I mostly have very good grass, but would like them to eat what the cows and horses dont.
Is he making some money on them?

ended up picking up 7 ewes and a ram. they freaked the horses out. I thought my filly was gonna stomp one of them to death, but they finally settled down.
