Heading to Lafayette tomorrow from BR. Where is the best place to pick up some cracklin and boudin?

Near BR, across the river in Port Allen, Bergerons. Awesome boudin balls and excellent cracklins.

Also Ronnie's for cracklins

Jerry Lee for boudin, but cracklins are very meh.

The Best Stop is good as well.

There's also another newer one, Billy's, that has a killer boudin ball stuffed with cheese and will serve cracklins naked with just salt.

All three are within a half mile of the Scott exit, which is about 5 miles from Lafayette.

even if you hit up dons or best stop you have to go by billy's and get the boudin balls its good shite
i tell you what else you should look for.... go to best stop and get their andouille and tasso to take home. Its also very good, i always get some when I go back home.

Bergeron's boudin balls are awesome. I do love Ronnie's cracklins. The smaller size gives you more spice coverage... if that makes any sense. Bergeron's and Don's both are great too. Why limit yourself? Hit em all.

I thought I was the only one!!! Can't figure out the love it gets. I've had it multiple time and its been nearly unedible. Very greasy, to salty, full of chunks of chewy fat and grisle. And I consider myself a boudin connosiur.

Bergeron's smoked boudin is a delicacy. They have some of the best food on earth in that place.

If you can get to Cade's Market in St Martinville hes got awesome boudin. He got tired of all the prepackaged stuff having so much rice he started making his own and it is really good

Take 190 and get your boudin at Bourque'sn Port Barre. Those boudin balls mentioned above are available at Billy's Texaco n Krotz Springs (also on 190).

Im not a fan of Don's. Bourques is #1 imo.

Billy's in Scott is the only answer. Try the smoked boudin and pepper jack boudin balls.

Billy's is your answer, especially for boudin and boudin balls.

Best Stop boudin highly overrated, in my opinion. Their cracklins are pretty damn good, though.

Not a fan of Don's either. I like Borques cracklins, but they sometimes leave them too big and you wind up with a big chunk of undercooked fat. Karchner's Grocery (by the bridge in Krotz Springs) for me. The cracklins are consistently good and the smoked boudin and boudin balls are awesome!

Skip the pepper jack balls. They really dont add anything at all to the boudin ball other than cost. The regular ones are just fine.

My fav boudin balls are at Ronnies. I only get smoked boudin there. reg is typically too salty. Not a big fan of Bergerons. Hate Jerry Lees.

There are a slew of places in Breaux Bridge you can try. And I assume you are taking I10 so that leaves out the speedtrap town boudin links which there are some very good places.

Bergeron's is the place. It's in Lobdell. I go there once a month and stock up on sausage, boudin, tasso, stuffed bellpeppers, stuffed porkchops, etc...

I had boudin balls from Kartchner's in Krotz Springs a few weeks ago. Hot and delicious. I like Bergeron's smoked boudin better than theirs, though their boudin is pretty good. I stuffed some peppers with it not too long ago.

I love Bergeron's smoked wings, too.

The cracklin at both Kartchner's and Bergeron's is good, but I'm not a big cracklin eater. Both have good jerky.

Billy;'s cracklins are better and they are just down the road a little from Kartchners
