Lol, I just stumbled upon this show in a hotel too. I wonder who brought up that idea in the boardroom...

So I actually met a "contestant" from this show early in June. She was just on the June 30th episode where they spend 21 days in Tanzania.
She was a nature guide with Gastineau Guiding for a hike my wife and I took to the Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, AK.
Before the hike she told us her life story, and mentioned that she would be featured on an African survival show on the Discovery Channel. She managed to leave out the whole naked part.
She also told us a story about how she tried to rescue a bald eagle that had been hit by a car.
Just before the eagle died the eagle dug its talons into her thigh and "transferred its energy" to her.
So long story short she was quite eccentric, and I was a bit shocked to see her on the naked survival show.
:csb:

Saw her today. She used to be an underground miner.

They should recruit TD posters for this show.
You guys would have built a 3,000 sq ft lean-to, complete with indoor plumbing and electricity before the first sundown. The monkeys would be serving you 5 course meals and doing your laundry each night.

I promise you, at the very least, if I was going on a show like this I would know how to make fire before I went. It's a learnable skill, why not learn it early?
