Fans of the Bundesliga, whose your team?

How did you become a fan?
I lived 20 minutes away from the Hoffenheim stadium for about 2 years, and since they were the only team in the 1st league that was so close I always found myself getting tanked and making the trip. The rest is history

Don't have one. Love watching the league whenever I can though. Love the way Bayern play.

A lot of Germans hate Hoffenheim since they had a rich owner bring them to the first division "they didn't pay their dues" or something. I think that's pretty dumb. I'm glad they stayed up this year.

I had a good friend who did an exchange from Heidelberg. He was a huge Mainz fan and so I have a slight pull to them.
I enjoy[ed] BVB too the past couple seasons as well.
I'm not hardcore about the Bundes but I enjoy the style of the league.

And on the Hate for Hoffenheim it's definitely real outside of the Sinsheim/Heidelberg area where the majority of the fans come from but it's not like it matters unless we're outnumbered by a shitload of fans outside of the guest section and on the way to the train or something. Lot of fights, lot of beer and at the end of the day we still support the hell out of our team. We're pretty hated but I wouldn't say as much as Bayern for being the New York Yankees of the Bundesliga. Lot of good support and a lot of hate

outside of Bayern and Dressed support in the east is pretty weak
but Bayern fans are not that hardcore

Dresden is without a doubt the most feared football club in Germany as far as fan support goes

if they ever make it up to the first division 
them and Dortmund fans almost killed each other during the pokal match
when i was walking from my apartment to the stadium and started hearing songs i never have before i was watching over my shoulder, some people i know said there were fights on the train and the bars banned football colors after the game that friday night
