That's crazy numbers for a non-playoff game.

wait, so the UCLA game scored lower, but had 300 more viewers than the UNC game?

bc it was in prime time when more people watch tv... I wish we had the NOLA market ratings to go along with these, and the UCLA-Miss St. finals ratings aren't in yet

By comparisson, the most updated they had was 6/17-6/23, so not the finals. The highest rated CWS event was this:

quote:

COLLEGE WORLD SERIES (live) Fri 8:00PM-11:44PM 224 0.7 1099

Does that mean 1.099 M watched?

yep... if that's UCLA, they were the biggest market team there...

that plus our fans gave our game such a good rating

but the rating for LSU-UCLA was lower than LSU-UNC even though he had 300 more viewers.

Ratings are basically a percentage of all TVs currently on. Not as many people are watching at 2:00 PM, so it is still a better percentage.

I don't know how it compares to other college sports besides the big two.

I would imagine the average women's college basketball game, a sport which is routinely mocked here, probably gets better ratings. But I don't have the time right now to look that up.

Heck, if it's not LSU or maybe one of the other 3-4 college baseball schools with rabid fan bases, I can only imagine how low the ratings are.

hence why they show us ;)

and you have to imagine womens' hoops ratings are pretty bad too if the top teams aren't playing

EDIT- topic of interest
