Godley and Creme - Cry.

Opus - Live is Life.

I bow because you got exactly what I was seeking with this thread.

I know and like the other two songs "Rumors" and "Life in a Northern town" but the two songs above are great songs that qualify as great "forgotten" songs. The two mentioned we actually big huts.

Here's a winner.

Found this one in my 45 collection. Googled it and found it went to number 1 in 1963. I remember they played it all the time on the AM radio. No FM back in those days.

Remember when the other guy from WHAM decided to try and have a solo career?

No?

Let me refresh your memory....

Andrew Ridgeley - Shake (1990)

As long as we're in 1990, let's take the time to recognize the fact that the band Real Life actually released a song that didn't have the words Send, Me, An or Angel in the title... but it did have the word God in it.

Real Life - God Tonight (1990)

And finally... How many of y'all thought "Holy shite... I didn't realize Depeche Mode had a new album out" the first time you heard this:

Any of y'all remember the band Throwing Muses? They were pretty well known on the indie/college scene from the mid-80's through the mid-90's.

Anywho... That band's lead singer was Kristin Hersh and she released a solo album in 1994 which included the haunting and beautiful single "Your Ghost" which featured Michael Stipe on backing vocals. His harmonies kick in around 1:15.

Aaaaaaaaaaand.... As long as we're in 1994 - Let's take a moment to remember Lush: Hypocrite

They actually put on an INCREDIBLE live show. Found this purely by accident a couple of years ago: LUSH Hypocrite / Undertow (LIVE 1994) The description says it was from a show in Texas but I'm 99.9% sure it was actually from their New Orleans gig (based on the time and date stamp... and the fact that I remember the banter about how the heat from the show I attended in NOLA).

Sure. The band the Pixies tried to emulate.
