So, the wife wants to go look at guns again. We have four:
She has a Ruger SR9 and a Ruger LCR 38 special
I have a Beretta Px4 Storm 40, and a Springfield Armory .45.

She wants a smaller pistol than the SR9 for conceal carry, and we are looking at another Ruger, maybe a LC9. Anyone have any thoughts about that one?

Our rule is, if she gets a new gun, I get a new gun. What should I get? Any advice? I'm open to all suggestions. Not a hunter, mainly just to have for home protection and shoot on occasion.

Seems like you'd need to add a 1911 to that collection.

It sounds like you need a rifle. I suggest Daniel Defense or BCM.

Was doing a little research on the interwebz last night about the sr1911. I have to admit I was selling it short and was really impressed at what the numbers proved. Very accurate. Highly reliable. I hate admitting I'm wrong but I was wrong about this gun.

I did a good bit of research on it and I can't find a bad review.

Hickok45 loves it.

I have no idea what any of those are, so you should get what I have, or had. Colts, .45's, 357's. S/W, 357's, 44 mags. Ruger, 357's, 44 mags, and such.
Enjoy.

You need at least one .22LR. Ruger Single Six might be a good choice just for a change of pace.

So, I've been reading on her about the 1911, what exactly makes it the "gun to have"? And is the SR1911 the "one to have"?

It's a great value for a nice 1911 and it's made.

$829 at Buds, in stock. Might run over there tomorrow. I work about a mile from their store.

You don't have a single useful gun, out of 4. Get a shotgun.
