Best casual Sunday brunch in New Orleans
Posted by rlore2 on 6/28/13 at 3:38 pm00
What's a good brunch spot in NO. Preferably somewhere that's not to dressy as I'm predicting I'll be quite hungover and won't feel like getting too dressed up.
TIA
TIA
Elizabeth's
Stanley.
I don't think Atchafalaya is overly dressy for brunch, and it is the best in my opinion. Jeans and a TShirt or polo would be fine.
(Elizabeth's is a "dump" type of place that is awesome. Good place.)

Atchafalaya is the only brunch in the city I've enjoyed. Really good food .. need to make reservations very soon though if you hope to get in. If you just show up it's at least a 1.5 hour wait.
also it's New Orleans. outside of maybe 2 or 3 places in the entire city you can pretty much wear whatever you want anywhere you go. ..... unfortunately.

Have you been to Patois for brunch? It is really good.

yeah but that was about 5 years ago. remember the food being really good, but the atmosphere wasn't my favorite. expensive drinks too.

How's Court of Two Sisters? I'm supposed to be heading there this Sunday for brunch and have never been.

Maybe THE worst place to eat in all of New Orleans.

Well frick
They changed the reservations from Commanders Palace to Two Sisters. The people making the decisions are out of my realm of control.

LOL! That is quite the oddball move there.

Dante's is legit. I also really enjoy Cafe Freret. Bananas Foster, Blueberry Pancakes, and their signature Eggs Benedict are all delish. It's SUPER casual though and may not be good for big parties.
