Been looking for something fun to watch, did the first episode tonight. Really well done. Enjoyed it tremendously. Really blows the American TV version away, although I did like the movies with RDJr and Jude Law.

Are all BBC dramas a hour and a half long like that?

By American TV version, are you referring to Elementary?

Yeah, I'm talking about elementary. Watched a couple of episodes but couldn't get into it. Had a hard time with Watson as a woman.

I'd still beat the brakes off of Lucy Liu though

Both are good shows, but Luther is an alpha male show while Sherlock appeals to the beta type

I thought Elementary was a decent detective procedural after you got through all that bullshite about Watson being his sober companion. It's nothing special, but I enjoy it nonetheless.

Sherlock is pretty amazing though. You're gonna love the season 2 finale.

BBC's version of Sherlock pushes Robert Downer Jr.'s version's shite in.

Nice explanation. Obviously potential spoilers if they are correct.

Spoilerish detail:

There's an important detail the video is missing though, but it still works - he knew moriarty had used a lookalike as part of his plan, and likely had already had this person killed. I bet sherlock knew this and had Molly locate that body to be used.

I thought I liked the first movie. Then I watched Sherlock. Then I tried to watch the second movie and turned it off halfway through. Rdj's version doesn't come close to the bbc version.
