Also available in 4x4!

quote:

The Tremor packs the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque that you can get in other F-150s, but it has a 4.10 rear axle, the shortest final drive ratio the F-150 offers, for strong acceleration and the occasional truck burnout.

ehh.

A buddy of mine had a Ford Lightening several years ago. He put a supercharger on it. His brother had a Z-06 Vette and they were pretty close for a little while at least.

Why not just bring back the Lightning?

didn't all lightnings have SC's? unless you are talking about the orginals, back in the early 90's

they came with superchargers and his brother evidently didn't know how to drive the Corvette z06 because it would have killed that truck in every aspect.

No, this is a hotrod, no clue why people insist on messing around with that V6 turd when looking for performance.

What's the 0-60 on this thing?

I'd have to imagine that it's pretty damn quick.

Probably 5.5-6.0ish if I had to guess. Very respectable for a truck.

6.4-7.0 from what i've read. 365hp/420tq is not that much, even with 4.10's

I think it's a great starting point, and you can get 400+ HP with an exhaust and tune. Ford didn't call it a Lightning because it's not insane and they don't want to water down the brand like Chevy has with "SS" crap. Now, if they shoved the 6.2 in there, or the 5.8 from the GT500, that'd be a Lightning.

As it stands I think this would be a fun truck to have with a normal paint job (Old school Bronco Eddie Bauer green over tan?), a leveling kit and 33" BFG A/T's.

Magazine tests have gotten that with stock Supercrew trucks with 3.73's. This is a lot lighter with a lot lower rear end.

This. There is no difference in this truck than current FX2 ecos with the appearance package, other than it being single cab.

You know I think you're right the more I think about it. It would have been inthe mid 90s and that would have been before a z-06. Don't remember now which vette it was.

as long as it was an early 90's non zr1, it's plausible

It's got a floor mounted shifter and 4.10 rear end.

Other than that, yeah.

So like most special packages, you get some cool stickers. Does it come with a YETI?
