What is the longest anyone dry hops? My red farmhouse ale has been dry hopping for almost a month now... Who knew having 3 kids would make bottling beer difficult.

When in doubt, double dry hop!

Hmmm... Hit homebrew store tomorrow for a couple of ozs, dump in, bottle on Monday? Might be a plan.

Saw this happen to a guy at a crawfish boil after too many beers were consumed... dudes feet looked like over cooked hotdogs... not pretty

Racked my berliner weisse into a bucket with 6 pounds of frozen strawberries.

Primary fermentation knocked out a lot of the aroma from the hibiscus, but the floral aroma that's left should pair nicely with the strawberry.

The hibiscus definitely sounds interesting, also sounds like it should go well with the strawberry.
Never tried that style of beer but it's on my list.

I got my hardware in today to turn my kegs into real brewing equipment.

Holy hell man. You're definitely jumping into this hobby with both feet.

Yup, so far I love it. And I don't see anything changing that. I figure if I enjoy brewing when it's 100 degrees outside, it can only get better

No prob, I can see how you'd see me as a noob, but clearly, with 3 batches under my belt, i'm not

Not directed at anyone in particular but for those of you in one of the local BR homebrew clubs how should I go about trying to get involved in that scene?

If you want to hook up with Bicycle Brew Club, I suggest showing up to the meeting, standing on the table, and peeing on Gus. Shows dominance.

But seriously, give some various club meetings some shots and see where you like it. All the clubs are good dudes and dudettes.

All you need to do is show up for one of the meetings and introduce yourself as a new brewer. All of the Baton Rouge clubs are very welcoming.

I'm in Redstick Brewmasters and we meet the first Thursday of the month @ George's on highland road @ 7:00.

Pretty much every other local homebrewer poster is in Brasseurs a la Maison. They meet on the second Wednesday of the month at the Cove @ 6:30.

If you have the ability I would suggest checking out both meetings and see what fits best for you.

Thanks for the replies.
Does the Bicycle Brew Club actually ride bikes? I'm not big on exercising for fun
