I've been checking it every Tuesday since I've become a member (like 3 weeks ago) and I've yet to see anything new.
Seems like the newest movies are End of Watch and a few tv shows. Do they ever get relatively new releases? Like less than 2 months after its been released on Bluray?

There are a few sites that you can look at for new releases. I check out hacking netflix.
Netflix doesn't update the new releases page too often (at least on Apple TV), so I use the websites to tell me what's new.

Ok, appreciate it.
I figured I was prob doing it wrong since its been so long since I noticed any updates. And seems like HBO gets movies way faster.
Still love the TV and documentary selections though.

go to instant watcher dot com. They update it daily with new releases.

Depends on their contract with the studio and how long the window is. Also depends if other outlets have preferential windows.

I just put up a thread last night. The Avengers, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Mulan, and Hunchback of Notre Dame all just became available.
I assume we will get new Disney stuff fairly often since they just did a long term deal.
I use instawatcher.com as well. It used to also tell you what was about to expire but Netflix stopped releasing that info.

I have an app on my phone and on the roku that show what's expiring about a month or so in advance.

Typically they get a bunch of new ones the first of the month and will add more periodically throughout
