CNN announces 'Crossfire' relaunch

quote:

It's official: CNN has announced that it will relaunch "Crossfire," its longstanding political debate show, this fall. As previously reported here, former Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich and former Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter will both serve as co-hosts. Gingrich will be joined on the conservative side by S.E. Cupp, the MSNBC co-host, New York Daily News columnist and TheBlaze contributor; Cutter will be joined on the liberal side by Van Jones, a CNN contributor and former green jobs advisor to the Obama administration.

Hugely disappointed to see Newt agree to do a show vis-à-vis Cutter. Not planning on watching. She's despicable and I can't waste a minute on her rants!

Would love to see Cutter interview Anne Romney after Cunter accused her husband of being a felon

This show is what got me into politics as a teenager. My dad would always watch it, Tucker Carlson with his bowtie.

I'll have to start watching it when it comes on.

This and about a year ago I recommended on this broad that if CNN wants to make a comeback they need to bring back Crossfire. Political debates are entertaining. Debates are the reason O'Reilly is so popular. You may disagree or agree with him but he is always debating someone on his show.

This shows success or failure will depend on whether or not they put S.E. in a leg chair or stick her behind some desk.

I just think today's SCOTUS decisions are making him/her frothy. Has to get it out of his/her system, understandable.

This show will always be doomed to failure unless Christopher Hitchens and William F. Buckley were to rise from the grave.

frick that. Crossfire started the trend of talking heads yelling past each other. It's one of the worst things about the "news" networks.

The best political show in the history of television is back on the air. This makes me a happy man.
