I know it's great and all but it seems people are beating it pretty fast.

I got someone wanting to sell it to me for $40. Dunno if i want to wait for it to get cheaper or not.

Just depends on your desire to play now.
You are basically getting it $24 off. As good as the game was, I wouldn't expect it to go down in price for a while.
ETA: I would also see if he has used the multiplayer access code. If he has then $40 might be too high depending on how bad you want to play MP.

I beat it in 25 on hard, and I look around a lot.
I assumed 15-20 is was a good interpolation.
Those people who claim they beat it in 12 probably rushed through the game IMO. There were about 2 times where I said to myself" the ending has to be coming now" just based on length and few hours later I was still playing.

Really? I look around quite a bit and I finished the game in 12 hours and 45 minutes. I don't think that's a bad thing. It has more than enough single player content to justify its price tag.

12 seems really short.

I also know I spent a lot of time crouching just chillin while guys walked around me looking for the right opportunity.

ack... i already called the guy & said i'd buy for 40. 12 hours seems pretty short to me

What about on soft? Do you normally view individual sites or use an aggregator?
I'm about 10 hours into the game, not sure how much I have left but it doesn't feel like it will wrap up anytime really soon.

Heaven. Actually I think I may go out and call it: this is the best game ever made. This beats Bioshock, which for me is saying a hell of a lot.
It's pure perfection. All flaws are incredibly minor, if they even exist. In terms of comparisons...I'm at a loss. I guess if you've read/seen The Road you have a pretty good idea of the general feel, though that work is a bit darker for sure. Do yourself a favor and buy it, you won't regret it.
Also, I clocked in at 16 hours 30 minutes on hard. I missed a comic and a shiv door or two, but I felt I was pretty heavily dedicated to looking around.

i'm still trying to beat borderlands 2, if and when i ever beat it i'll pick it up.
