When someone does Illinois do all the bluesmen count for Chicago or Mississippi?

We need an official ruling from the unofficial voice of the Music Board -- Heady where are ya?

No way they're the most famous LA musicians except maybe Louis...

I don't really count Britney Spears or Tim McGraw as musicians...You'd be surprised how widely revered BG and Dr. John are

Is not top 3 most famous Louisiana musicians.

Galactic is probably more popular than Dr. John.

Galactic is more famous right now (rightfully so)
But in the 60's-70's Dr. John was huge...Still is to an extent. Won acclaim for his work on Disney's "The Princess and the Frog". The fact that they thought of him to work on a cartoon about New Orleans, doesn't sound obscure to me

Mentioning the Mats reminds me that Minnesota is responsible for Prince, Bob Dylan, and the Replacements, which is an outstanding top three.
