Who here eats them on pizza? I never had but would like to try them. Are any of the major chain variations any good? If so, what else do you get on them? TIA

In. Love them on pizza. Everywhere

I like them on pizzas so long as there isn't too many other salty toppings on there with them. For instance, Ancora in Nola does a Putanesca pizza w/ anchovies but there's also olives and capers on there (along w/ tomato + oregano) and the olives and capers paired with the anchovies makes the pizza too salty for me.
Anchovies are good with a nice creamy cheese, tomato and basil.

As long as there's pineapple on the pizza too...I'll eat it!

I actually like the way Fleur De Lis utilizes them in the Round the World Pizza, where they cook them under the cheese, so they basically dissolve into the pizza and you get a good essence of anchovy . Most other places will just toss them on top, and they don't really incorporate that well, it seems to me.

Used to sling dough..... not a fan of anchovies after having put them on pizzas countless times. Never tried it, though, the smell was too pungent.

like them but not on pizza
you can get them pretty much anywhere, but if you've never had them you might want to only do half the pie because they're strong.
i eat mackerel and sardines from the can and i think the anchovies are too much for a pizza.

Wise.
is a beast. They usually have pretty good special pies, too.
I love anchovies on pizza. They add a great salty bite to some pizzas. As stated, you don't want salt on top of salt.
I know some people add it to the sauce before throwing it on the pizza.

the Enzo @ Domenica: anchovies, mortadella, tomato, garlic. Very tasty.
Pizza Delicious has a special w/roasted cauliflower, white anchovies, & red onion.

I love this too, although sometimes have to go with out if said pizza is being shared...
