Or what about gronk? Would they have let justice play itself out in those cases?

if charges were murder... yes

Does Tom Brady in this mythical scenario have the same checkered past?

Would Brady or Gronk have had the same gang/drug-related issues that Hernandez has had under this situation?

They would have just pinned it on Welker.

Peyton Manning hypothetical threads >>>>> Tom Brady hypothetical threads

He wouldn't be in this trouble. He didn't play for Urban Meyer.

are pats aware of charges... what if theoretically someone charged with murder and is innocent.

Murder charges, hell yes

pro bowl QB >>>>>>> pro bowl TE, especially on a team with 7 TE on the roster.
its apples and oranges. but in the Gronk analogy, yes i think they would have released him too.

Murder charges..... yes
Tom Brady may be the coolest thing since pants with pockets, but the Patriots were here long before Tom Brady and will be around long after.

Robert Kraft is a powerful guy, I imagine he might be privy to some hard to obtain information

I'd imagine that the Pats are privy to alot of information regarding the Hernandez situation that the public has no knowledge of.
And as someone else mentioned, it's not an apples to apples comparison unless this hypothetical scenario would include Brady or Gronk having the same past legal issues that Hernandez does.

Tom Brady Killed Drew Bledsoes career. Murderer

If they were certain he is being brought in for murder, then yes probably.

Hernandez was released as it allows them to get out of his signing bonus. There is a clause that if her were incarcerated as he is currently they don't have to pay it.
The longer this goes on no idea how that might change of if it had already been paid if they would recoup that.
The second I read that this morning before this all happened I assumed that the first second he was arrested this would happen, and that was exactly what played out.
