Took the top off of this engine and one screw was loosenand this part was totally broken. I took the screwed in part off but cant find the part on any of the small engine websites. Look at exploded views and it doesnt seem to be listed. It is where fuel comes in from carb.

Anyone have a better site? Ill call the local shop tomorrow but never can get by there during the day.

Looks like the crankcase breather to me. Does it still run?

I think it's where the choke and carburetor go.

Really?
In the carb kits, it doesnt look like it has the long piece that goes into the engine.

I am tempted to jb weld it, its plastic.

No i doesnt run

And i is a mystery how the screw was loose in the first place

This. That is a common engine so you should be able to get a replacement breather manifold. I'd go to K&D or ProPower with the engine so they could look it up.

Thanks

Yea im going to take the pic tomorrow.

That pipe goes to the carb, the missing side into the engine

The little lever to the right is also a bit puzzling on how it fits with the choke lever unless a part is missing

It's the intake tube. Just changed one of these the other day.

so,does the intake tube run from the carb to the cylinder head or from the carb to the air filter assembly?

Never seen one run from the carb to the cylinder head. Especially made of plastic if this is indeed the case.

It's underneath the solenoid. It runs from the head into the carb. It basically slips into the carb with an O-ring around the tube.

Had to replace that part twice in the last two weeks. The vibration keeps cracking the part.

that is a coil not a solenoid broke but I understand what you're saying.
If indeed there is a plastic manifold tube running from the carb to the cylinder head, that has to be the worst engineering idea ever.

That's what's broken on his motor. Of course it won't run when it can't get air or fuel in the motor.

That's it. The little black piece slides into the tube depending on the setup of the engine. It's a terrible design and most of the time they crack and start fricking up the engine and you don't even know it's happening. It happened to me.

carbon plactic composite but still a very bad design/idea.

I mean. What the frick were those engineers thinking when they designed that? Plastic to metal,,,"yeah that should work just fine"

I get it. Wouldn't it have been prudent to just make it metal? I don't get it either. I ended up buying 2 after seeing what it was because I know it will happen again.

you probably have a bent blade causing excessive vibration. Maybe try wrapping the shite out of the tube with electric tape to take some of the vibration.
