This is a second marriage for me. We've been married two years, and dated about 4 years prior to that, so now, we've been together for 6 football seasons. Over the course of that 6 years, I have, at times, become overly emotional during LSU football games, and I've displayed this emotion by:

1. Throwing stuff (cocktail glasses) out of our yard from the deck, and onto 6th street (for you Monrovians) during the infamous Ole Miss/no timeout game.

2. Throwing about 5 tonic water bottles at our barbq grill (hit it like 3 times, which put big dents in it) during the Clemson game.

3. Hollering for Tebow to get re-concussed during the Florida game (we were watching this game with another couple)

4. MF'ing and GD'ing the world during the Alabama game(s). No one other than her was a witness thereto.

5. Other Alabama games (see PP7 interceptions), where other people were around, being generally nonpleasant to be around, but holding the cursing down to a few damns, shits, and hells. Ya know, since there were other folks there and all.

6. During the Georgia game, when Lee threw bunch of pics, I did not want to hang around at the tailgate after the game, and wanted to go back to the hotel. My assholery was in full bloom that day for sure.

I am 46. My wife is an LSU grad, and understands how important LSU football is to me specifically, and to La's culture in general.

My question is this. Should I make a concerted effort to tone it down in an attempt to be a better husband, or should I continue going with my motto of "hey, if it doesn't really matter who wins to you, then don't freakin watch the game".

I have told her that I am passionate about very little in life. Outside of her, my beautiful 19 year old daughter that has a 3.7 after her first year of college (no pics dickheads), a big wad of cupping mallards, it's pretty much just LSU sports that really fires me up.

I need advice, and will hang up and listen.

This isn't shocking considering this

Are you on the team or coaching staff? It's a good thing you allow it to have that great of an effect on you since you have such an effect on the outcome of the game.

You're doing this:

over a game played by kids who are the same age as your

Let that sink in for a bit.

ETA: If I did any of the things you do over a football game, I'd be humiliated to be seen in public. I'm 20 years younger than you, FWIW and I'd be willing to bet that LSU means just as much to me, if not more, than you.

So far, we're in the minority broh. And I've got to tell you, I'm kind of surprised.

I'd lower the amount of Beam you are drinking before the game. Also, I'd put a shield over your flatscreen tv for this season. Because it's going to be a long one for you bro.

It's either too much drinking, or not quite enough.
