So the University of Oregon directly paid for athletes to be steered to the University... no bowl ban, a few loss schollies.

A wannabe sports agent with no connection to USC steered Reggie Bush AWAY from USC... 2 year bowl ban, 30 lost schollies.

Yep. I bet BWI (Penn State boards) are exploding this morning.

God damn. gotfrickingdamn. frick the NCAA.

Truth sucks.

But the NCAA realized the public is fricking stupid...and all they cared and knew about was $$$$ amount - that was sensational - and would support anything...just like Penn State...all the public focused on was Sandusky and child molestation and would support any Spanish Inquisition ruling.

NCAA knows the public doesn't do it's homework - so they don't either. It's all surface crap and what looks bad to this Jerry Springer generation.

And we lost a NC winning coach with a 10 year winning record against that shitty team up North.

It's confusing what they care about.

Oregon financially induces a star player to go to their school - major recruiting violation to make the recruiting playing field un-level.

- Slap on the wrist

USC - player is already at school and playing for school and gets benefits two years later from a wannabe agent inducing him to go Pro. But Bush got a lot of cash/house - so, it appears it's all about the $ sum to the NCAA - regardless of who does it.

2-year Bowl ban, 35 scholies...

Penn St - wasn't even a competitive advantage issue - basically wanted to give death penalty.

Miami- ?

This shite is so arbitrary. And it appears each "head of infractions" appointee has his own way of doing things.

I'm going to go with money. It may be a little "tinfoil hatt-ish." But with Nike being so involved with Oregon and also the entire NCAA for the most part, I would think this had something to do with it.

Who knowingly played ineligible players, and then lied about it. I dont know what else you would have expected to happen there.

This has nothing to do with expectations of the punishment. It has to do with you bitching about how little our punishment was just based on what the NCAA handed down.

I'm not bitching about anything. Your fellow buckeye fan was bitching that Oregon got a slap on the wrist compared to Ohio. I simply pointed out that yall got a slap on the wrist as well.
