Still think yoi can get good value at 9 with mccollum or zeller and some valu/depth at 26 with a michigan kid or a wing guy likebullock from unc

Thoughts?

depends on who's there at 6. 26 would be such a crapshoot.

Depends who is there at 6, as mentioned.

If Len, Oladipo, Porter, or McLemore is there, I'd keep it.

If it would be a choice between Bennett or Burke, I'd at least listen to the offer.

No. The talent starts falling off around our pick. Use it to get the best talent for our team, even if you draft him a little early. Picking up a second first means another guaranteed contract and one less roster spot. I would definitely like a pick around there to possibly use on a draft and stash guy, but I don't think it is worth moving from 6 to 9.

If Oladipo falls, yes. At 9 you can probably get 1 or possibly 2 of Burke/McCullom/MCW if you want a PG and I really like KCP who should be there if Minny is moving up for Oladipo, so I'd be happy at 9.

I'd honestly snap up Oladipo in a heartbeat and not look back.

Dropping back isn't for everybody, but I'd much rather have KCP than Oladipo. KCP's main negatives are very much coachable. I'd rather gamble on Monty and better teammates being able to help KCP's shot selection and defense than hoping Oladipo can be a reliable scorer in the NBA.

Meh, if you want one of those guys, take your favorite at 6. No need to take a chance at your guy being around at 9 just to add a crapshoot pick at 26.

No for all the reason Jester and Earthworm said. Agree with them completely.

I agree, I'm a no.

There are 6, maybe 7 guys that seem to be a cut above everyone else.

26 isn't enough for me to move anywhere, especially in a weak draft. I would want more.

So where is the garbage cutoff point?

Deal 6 to okc for 12, 32 and future first?

You're overvaluing late first round picks. A future first from OKC will be a late first and if you want to get back in the first round that late, you can find a team willing to sell their pick for cash.

There's not much reason to fall back for an extra pick.

Problem is that we can't necessarily use all of those 6-7 guys.

Bennett, specifically, is a guy we're unable to use and, as Minny has proven, it is kind of hard to get value for talent taken high in the first if they aren't getting good minutes.

You and I are the highest on him, I think.

He was the only shot selection at Georgia. Without KCP, UGA wins 10 games if that. The guy is a pure scorer. His defense can and will improve. I wouldn't mind taking him @ 6.

U could grab KCP at 9 and then Tony Mitchell at 26...that's assuming he'd still be there at 26...I really like him and he fills a need at SF plus he was in a bad spot at NT...I believe Monty would be able to "coach" him into the right spots an make him the best player he can be.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. How many chuckers really change their ways?

Oladipo is like the true 2 version of Eric Bledsoe in my opinion.

He's pretty efficient, so I don't want him to stop shooting as much as I'd like to see him use his athleticism more to get to the basket. I see him as a SG only version of Klay Thompson with the athleticism to be more varied on offense and very good on defense.

A largely 1 way player. That's why I like Pope better, I see better potential to be a 2 way player.
