The more and more I catch rugby here and there on the TV the more I want to play. I play Ultimate (frisbee) and like the quick paced nature of it...the disc and possession is always moving and formations for getting the disc free.
I just need to find a group of guys to be patient and like to have fun to learn how to play it. I don't have the speed, but I have the size and the hands/feet.

Nah I've only watched union, but I'm getting into it more now that I'm in Australia and they go nuts for it. I'll be watching Game 2 tonight for sure. I prefer union, but it's hard to deny the excitement and pace of league. It's fun to watch!

I'm interested, I watch as much as I can live and catch some espn3 replays... I'm more interested in aussie rules football though.

Yup, class all around from both sides. Surprised at how Aussies performed in the scrums, but at the end of the day, gotta convert your kicks.
If there's one aspect of Union I'd bitch about it's the value of kickers. As someone who grew up with football and then started following rugby, it's annoying how many games come down to kickers. League usually has more tries so less importance on kickers.

Yea I know it's going to be rough come CFB time, but right now I am loving the sports setup in Aussieworld. Being a fan of so many international sports sucks when you're in the States, but I'm getting my fill right now!
I'm starting to get into AFL also. Never had a clue what was going on in the past, but now I pretty much get it, another fun as hell game that needs to catch-on Stateside.

At least in rugby, the kicker is part of the team (you know what i mean) and not someone you just trot out for 2-3 plays a game.

To those with Fox Soccer Plus, the USA Rugby D1 Club Semifinal game will be shown tonight at 8pm central, New Orleans vs. Seattle-OPSB. We were a bit outclassed on the night, but still an entertaining match.
