He went into Tenn and LSU went backwards. He went into the Iowa game and played horrible. He went into the MSU game after JR dominated and threw a pick 6

Same thing when he came into the seccg against uga when jmarc got hurt, leading to flynn having to start the peach bowl. Just saying the light didnt click on for flynn rt away. Plus Saban had jmarc and flynn riding the pine behind marcus randall.

Joe Montana's arm strength was questionable making him a 3rd rounder out of Notre Dame. All he did was win 4 Super Bowls and elected into the HOF.

Not saying Flynn is JM...just saying there is much more important attributes to being a slide NFL QB than how far and well you throw the deep ball.

"Just saying the light didnt click on for flynn rt away."

True-ish. Of course, I can't comment on how he looked in practice, but Flynn had very limited chances in the relief and mopup opportunities. In the games he started (Miami game and his senior year), he played well most games, great in some, and poorly only in a few (and even then it was more of an uneven effort as he had his bright spots in those games, too - think KY, first half of Bama, Arky). Offense never scored fewer than 27 points in regulation in any game he ever started. He now has two pro starts under his belt and both were very productive (one was INSANELY productive). The sample size is still relatively small but I am starting to wonder if MF is just one of those guys who squeezes more out of an offense than it looks like he should. As for the deep ball, one thing that Jaws may be missing is that he seems to throw a very accurate, catchable deep ball. He doesn't have an "A" arm, but I think it may be more of a "B" than a "C." I am cautiously optimistic that he is an NFL starter.

If Matt Flynn is nothing but a system QB and his record breaking success in Green Bay was nothing but a fluke, then what does that say for Aaron Rodgers?

I'll take Jaw's opinion on QBs over these posters every time.

Does Jaws have coaching experience? Does he get paid for being correct or for reading a script to get ratings?

frick... Hopefully Flynn overcomes this adversity. Having above average success as an Oakland QB would be nice.

This coming from a QB with a career 53% completion ratio.

Game is a bit different now than it was then, especially the passing game. Terry Bradshaw's completion percentage was 51.9. Staubach and Stabler, amongst the best in completion percentage for their era, were 57-59% for their career.
