The NBA is the absolute worst of the big four when it comes to the same group of retreads getting job after job after job.

Why is there such little young head coaching talent in the lower ranks of basketball?

He's never gotten the head job. He's interviewed a million times.

I listen to Dave Logan on KOA driving home and he interviewed the NBC beat writer for The Sporting News and they mentioned that Shaw was the frontrunner. He also mentioned he was supposedly a hell of a lot cheaper than Hollins.

Looking forward to seeing what he can do.

Not easy replacing Karl.

How many managing jobs will Clint Hurdle get? Dusty Baker? Terry Collins?

Bout time. I have been a fan since he was on my childhood favorite Magic. Glad he went to a rootable team. If he went to the Nets, I'd have trouble rooting for him.

Glad he finally got a HC job. I wanted the Lakers to hire him after Brown was canned.

I don't know alot about Shaw's basketball philosophy, but this seems like a good start for him as opposed to coaching the Nets or Clippers. Good for him.

Shaw was an assistant under Jackson and can definitely coach the triangle. I read that he isn't necessarily trying to implement the triangle in Denver, though.

Probably because Denver's bigs can't handle the triagle.

It'll be interesting to see what system he implements now.
