@EddieInTheYard: #Orioles officially announce that Freddy Garcia has been "optioned" to AAA Norfolk, Kevin Gausman recalled from Norfolk.

Hopefully he got the chance to work on a few things against some less daunting batters and will be good to go!

Freddy got hammered yesterday. Not a surprise they want to get the kid up and start grooming him.

I still think he should take a bit more time and finish out the year in the minors.

Regardless,

You might be right, but sadly, the Orioles don't seem to have that luxury right now. And I think Gausman of all people can handle the baptism by fire.

he pitched about a week ago in AAA and got destroyed, I'm surprised they called him up again.

That's great news.

Meanwhile, DJ Lemahieu went 3-5, solo HR and 2 RBIs the other night for the Rockies.

Yeah, and I think he was 7-12 for the 4 games series with the Nats. Kid is a gamer.

It was expected to be honest. Can't wait to see how he does again.

I also saw he made two outstanding diving catches on line drives a few weeks back

Lemahieu was a no-doubter to be a solid pro. His defense (length) and sweet swing made him as sure of a thing MLB'er as I can remember at LSU.
