Took a friend down to the island Saturday morning. The water was a little rougher than we would have liked but we ended up with a pretty good box. I even caught a tagged trout. There are still tons of 11-3/4" trout out there.

Offshore scene was hot, few friends loaded up on snapper, tuna, mahi, and had a marlin hooked but broke off.... they fished fri/sat. Slick calm at the blue water, a little bumpy closer in...

I'm going to call the number today.

Most fish were caught in the surf, picked up a few more trout north of the island on the way back in.

In a land far, far away.

Had some kids in front of us at CHS weighin that got an awesome show from a blue right after they stuck her with the tag. She went ape shite at the transom, they got some real cool video.

Been on the island since last Thursday afternoon - the fishing in the surf has been the worst I can remember in my 20+ years of coming here. We can usually pick up a few trout here and there but it's been so damn rough and windy. Haven't really seen or talked to anyone who's had much luck the past few days either. That being said there has been a never ending armada of skrimp boats cruising up and down the beach all hours of the day and night. This morning hundreds upon hundreds of the perfect sized croakers washed up on the beach. Looks like ill be leaving the fish fry in the pantry this time
