Stanley Cup playoffs make college baseball look about as exciting as the WNBA.

The rules committee doesn't make changes again until July 2014. Which means a new ball wouldn't be in play at the College World Series until 2015.

Why cant ANYONE admit that we sucked arse for two straight games. We've had holes in our lineup literally all year long and LSU was never a power hitting team.

The teams we played were on the same field as us playing in the same park as us using the same bats as us.

Stop looking for excuses and who or what to blame for the losses and man up and look forward to next year.

LSU fans are such bitches

Geaux Tigers.

If LSU were still playing, none of you would have read this article.

From the threads I've read on this topic (a day or two after LSU got knocked out), most people have admitted to this.

They aren't looking for excuses; they want to see a better product on the field, regardless of who is playing.

UCLA has the lowest batting avg. of all 8 teams that went to Omaha but they are in the championship series. They did it with pitching and very timely "hitting." And they deserve to be there.

I readily admit we played poorly. We cant go 0-24 in any park. If we can just get a couple of singles we win.

Its two different topics.

Your team didn't suck arse. They lost, but they didn't suck arse.

Losing 1-2 and 4-2 to a couple of the best teams in the nation is not my idea of sucking arse.

They just got out played in a couple of games, which happens to every team in the tournament except for the winner.

5 tools should be equally involved in the game of baseball - and Im not talking about the 5 tools that post LSU baseball nonsense on these treads.

You are confusing them unintentionally.

Some people cannot grasp two arguments at once that share similar traits. Mutually exclusive is like quantum mechanics. Every LSU fan to date has stated point blank LSU played terrible in the CWS. But to them, that's the last and only point they can comprehend.

There weren't many of these threads when LSU won in Hoover.

Meh. You're defeating the truth here.

LSU did suck arse. 6th ranked fielding team in the nation gives up 2 errors - the 2 unearned runs in a 2-1 loss.... The first loss of the season for Nola.

LSU 3,5,6 hitters were 0fer 24 in the CWS. LSU did not play well.

But the does not in any way excuse what the CWS is now. At all.

It matters because its a huge ballpark in which we won a tournament in. If our best hitters get any hits or if we can catch the ball we win a tournament in another big ballpark and then we can all

I think the best voice for this are the locals. I have heard from a couple of locals while I have been around here that its not the same. Home runs make the game more interesting. We need more runs in this

this series is around 6 runs a game, which is down from 10 runs a game in 2010. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes down to 5 runs a game by the end.

so from 2010 to 2013 runs have almost been cut in half at the CWS.

i played dIII college ball in 98--was my senior year. those bats were the tits. i remember hitting some out that certainly had no business being close to going out. they definitely needed to be reeled in to an extent but this is way too far. good article

Well, LSU is accountable for 1.5 runs a game, so therefore any other discussion is moot. /sarcasm
