Possibly, but I'm saying i would take it because thats just how highly I think of Varane... With his age, that your RCB for the next 10+ years... And if you sell him, its £30mm +

That allows you to sell Skrtel for £12mm to add to the remaining £25mm

Varane would cost a good bit more than 20 million. Can't see a situation where Madrid would give him up.

I've seen a few player + cash scenarios... the one I liked was Varane + £25... only because I think Varane can be one of the world's best...

IMO if we aren't getting 50+ for him I'm not down with letting him go not matter how he feels or what the public perception is ... this is a business and we have to eventually put ourselves in the position that we come out ahead and not the other way around like we have done in the recent past.

ETA: I agree Varane is really good though.

Actually just read that Varane has a 30 million dollar buyout clause. Not sure if that's 100 percent accurate.

Apparently, Mingolet and Aspas have been given numbers now...

Isn't he Zidane's godchild or something like that?

He isn't going any place for any price.

Over Sturridge? I dont have a problem with it, he's a striker...

I mean, Its not like we're getting Falcao, Cavani or Lewandowski...

I know but to give away that # means to me he is expecting a lot out of Aspas.

truth be told... I think we are! I dont expect him to come and play a bit part, whether Luis leaves or not... I expect him to take over Downing's role on the right... maybe not right away, but he seems tailor made for that... cutting in on his left foot...

If Suarez stays... that front 3 would be interchangeable and deadly..

so are Dortmund going to steal Henrikh? does that mean you all are going to pursue Eriksen again?

I'd imagine BR made sure Sturridge was ok with it. Daniel has certainly earned that choice, and I'm sure Brendan knows that.

I'm guessing it was discussed and Sturridge couldn't care less as long as he is playing a big role...

Agreed. BR has been a brilliant locker room manager. I'm certain it won't cause any issues.

FYI - some rumblings in the twittersphere about us being back in for Gameiro... not sure if this is in addition to or as a plan b for HM (not gonna learn the spelling until he's a red... I'm lazy like that)

It's cool he hasn't earned it yet. I'm just referring to him as "that guy" for right now.

You watch a lot of La Liga, right? Anything you can tell us about Aspas (or Luis Alberto for that matter)?

Alderweireld to Leverkusen is dead so looks like we have a shot if we choose to go after him
