I missed the first 30 minutes of the match... glad to hear Kolo looked good.
edit: I kinda believe the Alberto signing sealed Jonjo's fate at LFC...

I watched the match on BEIN Sports ... my assessment on today (though I'm keeping in mind that it was Preston North End)
• Kolo looked amazing today.
• Agger should end up being the vice-captain IMO.
• Ibe & Sterling looked great though I think Ibe will end up having a larger impact than Sterling due to his physicality.
• Assaidi(?) had moments but overall he should get gone with Weejay as well.
• Cous was amazing as always but just failed to create much of worth though
• Jordo was very pleasing today as well as was Joe Allen.
• Defense looked very good but I'd had rather have seen Kelly play CB than wisdom.
• Alberto & Aspas were both impressive but would like to see more from them before making an assessment.
* Overall I though we were tactically sound today and it seems the squad has adapted very well to BR style of pass & move possession. Most of our guys looked very good on the ball and while there were some waywards passes it seemed like we were always looking for a pass to opens things up instead of trying to force the issue. I also think Kolo will slot in very nicely into the back line given his expierence and commanding precense. All in all I felt that the movement in tn back two thirds were great but just lacked that inspiration in the final third but this is understandable given that none of these played today: Suarez, Sturridge or Gerrard.
Today's Grade: A-

Eriksen or Jorginho?
I realize they're different players, just wondering who you guys would rather considering the price tag/value of each other these guys. That may be more of a stretch to value Jorginho at this point, but I think he could be very good in this system.

I don't know. The more I watch Jorginho the more I think we need him more. Although I've always been a believer in Joe Allen, and that he'll come back to form, so maybe I'm contradicting myself there.

Haha you've been waiting for Eriksen for the past year. Don't get me wrong, I'd still be happy if we got him, but I'm also more than pleased having Coutinho in that AM role. I'd like us to add someone else who could play pretty much in any of the roles behind Sturridge to help create, but also has goals in him.

I like CE a lot... I really dont know much about Jorginho, though he seems to play a deeper role. We already have Allen and Hendo..
What I think we need most is a dominant DM..
I think Kolo probably bought a a little time in regards to a CB being an absolute must this season, assuming we keep Skrtel and let Kelly and/or Wisdom get a look there..

Couldn't agree more. And while Jorginho is sound defensively he is far from dominant.

It would probably be a week after the deal though before you'd see anything ... The week I'm gone would be spent in the hospital due to a 24 hour period of expelling my juices from hearing such good news.
