Enrique holds to LB for now - he's steady in defense and offense.
Offense, not so much (this past weekend). His passing was atrocious. Generally you're right though, I think he's pretty good.

Terrific defensively and a complete enigma offensively.

Well, by offensively, I mean that he's usually making a lot of runs and forcing teams to account for him, which helps open up Coutinho's move inside. Not necessarily that he's effective offensively.

My main probably with Enrique is for all the times he has the ball in an advanced position, he rarely ever does anything that matters with it. He lacks quality with the final pass or shot.

Right, I mean whose passing wasn't atrocious that match? It's not like he had a lot of time to really make an impact. He should have been on the field at the start. The mistake was starting 4 center halves. Rodgers won't do that again. And now I think we know who should be the two starting center halves from this moment going forward: Sakho, and Toure.

Coutinho seems to have some grit in the final third the few times I've watched him, although he is injured. Suarez is obviously a pretty serious goal threat.

I agree with to an extent. But I think this year too much pressure has been heaped upon his shoulders. He's looked good, but not brilliant like he did last year. And I think a lot of it has to do with our opponent knowing this and knocking him around for 90 minutes. We'll need another option for sure.

I'm so glad Suarez is back.

Didn't get to watch it, but obviously our offense must have been pretty anemic again.

We certainly had our chances. Suarez's rust hurt.

Best second half we played all season, besides Enrique letting that little fricker go free on the corner. We just couldn't seem to catch a break with the shots

That was Gerrard. Even Mignolet got up after the goal and gave Steven the look like he had fricked up.

If we can't get 3 against what is clearly the worst team in the league I'll be truly worried.

Finally saw a highlight.

It was Enrique's man, which he didn't keep up with.

Gerrard had no man, but was towards the near post and six yard box to clear anything out. He completely misjudged the corner and didn't jump high enough to head it. I don't think Mignolet thought the ball was going to get passed Gerrard, hence him looking at Stevie with some anger.

Anyone know why we didn't end up signing Erickson with all the flirting that went on?

Dude would have been a great add to this team. May have taken some serious minutes away from Coutinho and/or Henderson at times depending upon who he replaced in the starting XI, but Cou's loss to injury would not nearly be as big of a blow as it is right now.

I just never heard if Rodgers didn't think he fit the system or if Erickson wanted a team a bit more into CL, or if the wages weren't right, etc?
