I'm hunting a 13 year old dog. The pup I'm picking up in Freeport Texas is a Boss puppy with the Viking dog as a grand sire. Momma is a hunter, 2 , should be a MH within a year but the breeder/owner just hasn't put her in the trials. I'm pretty sure I'll get the pup, just looking for feedback on the bloodline.

How's your dog work and how old is she?

And I only wish I could breed my old dog...bitch wife(now ex) of the friend who gave him to us 12 years ago had him neutered the week before we got him. British yellow, 70 pounds, loves to hunt, perfect disposition.

He is 3 this october. Went through full season last year. I hunt all public land. Best hunt with 3 man limit and goose, he picked up everybird and didnt lose any cripples. Marks decent. Has good nose and would be great with hand signals if i spent more time with him. Doesnt break and retrieve until told.

I train my dogs so no schooling and im obviously biased.

Got him from a woman in a trailer park for 150 bucks. Registered through decent line of hunterw though

Good deal. My first was free, so I don't feel so bad about jumping off the deep end on this pup. He'll be fine for. Next year when the old man is just a porch dog...can't believe he's made 11 seasons...picked up thousands of ducks with a smile on his face.
