The Valencia president, Amadeo Salvo, admitted that the London club are "not far" from meeting the €30m (£26m) asking price which matches Soldado's official buy-out clause

Dealing with Valencians can be painful, but I´d imagine Levy and his people are up to the task.

Valencia may need the money, as well.

Reports are out that Bale has agreed to a 6 year deal with RM.

AVB has denied the reports, sort of...

And the report is from Marca, so probably a load of crap LINK

re: Tottenham Hotspur 2013/14 Season Long Thread

Gerardo Martino (NOT AVB) has been hired to manage Barcelona. And Bale was at training this morning as seen in this video, so I'm not too worried now about reports of his supposed transfer request.

No, a Yid told me ESPN confirmed your Soldado transfer buy, earlier this morning.

Tata Martino is an Argentine who signed to coach Barça.

I wasn't denying anything you said. I just clicked the bottom post to add more info to the thread in general.

If its not true, and I assume right now it's not, then it's likely Marca/RM just causing trouble... If that's the case, I'm guessing Levy just raised the asking price for a RM transfer to something just short of infinity.

Love it. Levy doesn't deal with bull shite like this. With my luck though, Bale will be transferred the day I get my preordered Bale shirt.

Looks like a Soldado setback, maybe, who knows, we don't have a chance at him, he's definitely coming to WHL, etc., etc.

Vertonghen just landed awkward in the match against Sunderland and has been down for a while, holding the back of his leg...

ETA: Being stretchered off...
ETA2: Early word from Martin Tyler is that it's not as bad as it looked and AVB actually asked him if he wanted to come back on...

Sounds like he's okay. Is there any reason to be worried that we are sucking so badly in these preseason friendlies? Clearly, AVB is trying out some different things, but aren't other teams doing the same?

The first half looked pretty good.

Really, Jozy missed a few that he should have scored in the second half and that would have made the scoreline even worse.

Plus, no Bale today.

I don't like to rely on Bale in case we do lose him. Has Paulinho played at all yet? What about Nacer Chadli? I saw that he was already with the team.

I wouldn't worry at all about preseason matches. Same as NFL preseason.

Hell, United lost to a Japanese team the other day.

Glad Vertonghen is alright! Guy is a beast on defense and will probably be my favorite Spurs player after Bale leaves

Is Kaboul going to be ready to play this season?

All I know is that neither played this morning.
