Why is anyone surprised? Texas is one of those programs that only plays easy teams and can only handle OU once in a while.
Thats why they kept the Big 12 together, they know anywhere else they would get smoked in football, basketball, and baseball.
Big 12 is so weak, and Texas is the reason, say it aint so Aggies.

Texas was crap last year and set to be crap again. I can't blame them for backing out but they were dumb to allow it to go public that they were going to play LSU to begin with.

I am a little surprised that they are backing out of the game. Wasn't it just announced that both teams agreed to play? As for the comment that Texas doesn't play anybody in basketball or that they are scarred. I believe that Texas plays Georgetown, UCLA, North Carolina, Michigan State, and USC annually. I might be wrong? That is a pretty salty non-conference slate and then to boot throw in Kansas, K-State, Ok-State.
I think that it sucks to not be able to play LSU. I think the last time we played the tigers was in 06 I believe in Houston,( Toyota Center ) and then before that was in the tourney maybe the year before? I dunno.

Jason King posted that Oklahoma State and A&M are two possible replacements. If A&M is chosen, they'd have to rearrange matchups so neither LSU nor Bama faces them.
