This is a joke. It could easily end up 8 or 9 nil.

Did they actually beat Australia or New Zealand? The announcer said they only had one professional player.

lost to New Calcedonia in the other semifinal. Huge upset. Tahiti took advantage of that.

This is pathetic.

FIFA needs to make it more difficult for these type of teams to qualify for major tournaments.

They get half of a World Cup bid. The Confederations Cup needs representatives from all...confederations. C'mon.

No you're just not using your brain to think how or why smart people who make millions set up a system where a team this small can make it. Its the confederations cup. Teams from all confederations are represented. Even the shitty confederations.

Really? The first post answered your entire question.

The problem is you have no grasp on the sport, how the process works or how much of a blast Tahiti is having being in the competition. Yet you start a thread and think you somehow know better than than a process you know nothing about.

Move along.

They won the OFC nations cup which was just round 2 of World Cup qualifying with a knockout round added.

All four teams advanced to the final round of qualifying. The knockout tournament winner made the Confederations Cup.
