yeah, he's solid enough defensively, though has had a number of blunders, as any good Arsenal defender must!, i just get really annoyed with his offensive game. i think he's significantly worse at passing the ball around in tight spots in the offensive third of the pitch than any of our other FBs. i get annoyed that he just drops his head down and tries to get to the byline as much as he does.

Well there is a drop off in technical quality between Sagna and Jenks, and Jenks is definitely not as precocious as a right back as Sergio Ramos was, but Jenks has absolutely unreal athleticism. Don't forget that Jenks is only 20. Sagna didn't have a first team appearance for Auxerre until he was 21. And then only developed when he was 24. Jenks is as promising as Gibbs was at that age. He needs to improve his decision-making, but we ask our wingbacks to do a lot. He's a good defender, but he has to choose when to support the attack better, and not rely on his excellent athleticism to get him out of trouble.

We always seem to forget just how young many of our players are when they begin to see significant time. They can't be expected to just step in and play with the poise of a 26 year old.

Jenks will be okay.

I imagine Dortmund will try to attack us down the right again. I wouldn't mind seeing a left sided pairing of Monreal and Gibbs to counter that threat.

Me either. We can't get repeatedly exposed down the right flank.

Monreal has actually looked quite good at the LW role in our defensive shell substitution squad. i wouldn't mind it, but i doubt it happens.

It won't happen but we let Grosskreutez beat us. He has to be one of the most average players I've ever seen. Certainly the worst player on Dortmund.

He is the literal embodiment of their working class image. Ugly as frick and just runs a lot.

Well he's "97.5%" out, so I guess e could possibly still play.

Arsenal are a very good road team, so tomorrow should be an excellent match.

So everyone which midfield do we field, a defensive pairing of Arteta and Flamini? Name your hopeful midfield, and what you expect Wenger to actually field.

He back?

I wouldn't mind

-----------Arteta-----Ramsey------
Santi------------Ozil---------Monreal

Different sort of defensive.

Oh boy! I get to watch Ajax-Celtic instead of the Dortmund game tomorrow. Thanks, FoxSports.

It's only offered in Standard Definition on Cox New Orleans I believe, which stinks.
