We need someone else to step up around that time. Ramsey has upped his game, and it'd be nice if Wilshere's revival started around then. Still need a striker to give OG a break.

If Leverkusen shite out of Europe early like they usually do this could probably be arranged. Otherwise I think they are trying to transition from a selling club to a buying/keeping their players club. Lars is definitely the centerpiece in their 3 man midfield, I'm interested to see what they do going forward. Schalke has upped the ante a little bit, so unless Leverkusen are fine with competing in the Champions League play-in match then I think they'll continue to build.

Flamini has been pretty dang solid for us. Someone who watched all his matches for Milan said that it's incredible how much more comfortable he looks with the ball at Arsenal this year as opposed to in Milan. Said it looked like he was scared to even receive the ball a lot of the time there. Says a lot about Wenger's management ability that he can do something like that.

Our average positioning during the match:

I figured it'd be something like this, but damn Jack really left Gibbs exposed. I didn't think Gibbs was very good yesterday but others were giving him MotM honors. Maybe I need to rewatch. Regardless, he wasn't getting any cover.

I'm really interested to see how we line up Sunday. We really, really have to start rotating. Especially with Jack since he has a history of burning out. Wouldn't mind seeing Gnabry or Ryo wide left on Sunday to give Jack a breather.

We really do need some squad rotation. It will help with depth when we get some guys back from injury.

Ozil looked like he needed a breather too, but we can't really afford that at this point. would be nice if we took it to Stoke and then we could pull him early. Giroud looked worn out, but again, no way can we rest him. Ramsey never looks tired. He's a machine.

All of that is true. I'm still pissed about the penalty. This group is going to be tight and goal differential could be crucial.

seems like we've had some pretty shite PK luck over the past 5-8 years. we've already had two go against us this year that were awful calls. plus, Per got kicked in the fricking face in the box yesterday!

I agreed with the Gibbs MOTM stuff. He did very well.

Also, Flamini has been superb. This team's form is great. Even Walcott, who has struggled a little bit, was able to finish with a screamer on a beautiful volley.

Gibbs looked great during the first half. That's all I got to watch though. Flamini has been solid, no argument there.

random thought that everyone on this board will hate: if Giuseppe Rossi continues his good form into January or all year, I think we should target him. that is, if he can stay healthy. he sure looked ready for a big break out a few years back with Villareal then got hurt. He's scored in 3 of 3 Serie A matches this season and scored today in the Europa League. Can play wide and centrally and would compliment Giroud well.

his release clause is too high though, and i doubt they would sell him in January having just bought him last January. just trying to think of options to bring in during the winter transfer window...

When he wears red I wouldn't care about that. When he puts on the blue for Italy is when I would care.

yeah, i didn't particularly mean the arsenal contingent. but this board generally hates him for a decision which all of us want kids like Najar, Zelalem, et al to make, just in the US's favor.

Rossi and Najar/Zelalem are completely different cases.

sure. everything is different. Rossi has way more of a connection to Italy than Zelalem (or Najar) does to the US.

Any way to catch this replay, either streaming online or download?

I haven't even seen the highlights, I was only able to follow the gamecast commentary and couldn't find the replay later that night.

He also has more of a connection to the US than many of our current regulars.
