Sent mine in today for a shattered lens, I notice they dont make the model I have anymore. Do they have backups of lenses from older models or will I have to pick out a new style? I had to try these on because some of the models dont fit. Just wondering if I need to go to a store and try some on if they tell me to pick a new one.

if they don't have any of those lenses they will offer to send you a new similar pair at a discounted rate

Yeah. I won't be buying. Costas again I think. I had another brand which was more durable but I cannot think of the name. Someone stole them from my truck.

Hiw old are your glasses? Costa only covers the frames for lifetime. The lenses are limited. At least thats how it use to be.

Costa has the best customer service on replacing their damaged product out there. The process is painless as can be. The only thing is you have to give up your shades for a few weeks. I bought a new pair on Sunday after being a loyal Costa customer for over six years. I've been through three pairs in that time. I crushed one pair I had for several years on my wedding night, lost my replacement pair shortly thereafter, and still have my third pair. The only reason I got a new pair is because I simply wanted a new pair.

I looked at all brands this past weekend and simply had no reason to stray from Costa. They will continue to have my business until something drastic changes.

They will get them and notify you they received them. The next step is inspecting them to determine the repairs. If it is proven to be a defective product, they will either send you a brand new pair, or credit the amount at MSRP and ask you what pair you would like next. If your pair cost $179 new and the pair you want is $219, you owe the $40 difference.

If the issue is your fault by abuse, they will contact you to devise a plan on how you wish to proceed. Replacement lenses costs around $40 to $75. You pay the amount and get your shades back in no time.

I sent mine back last week. Triple tails with the 400g. 79.99 for lens replace, and 11.99 for frame damage. They're 5 years old, so 100 bucks for new costas. Not bad.

Just sent mine in for damaged frame and 1 cracked lens. They want $40 for 400G lens and $90 for Stringer frame. I am not gonna pay for the repair because I just bought a brand new pair of Jose 580G for $169 on ebay with free shipping. While Costa wants $259 on their website.

Swordfish model.

I have a pair of the Swordfish model. Did yours squeeze the hell out of your head? I do not consider myself to have a melon head but the ones I bought were really tight. Ended up having to send them back and get adjusted and they fit perfect.

no but I have kind of a smaller size head, they were snug but I could see where they would hurt someone with a big head

The pair I bought on Sunday are Jose's with tortoise frames, 580 Amber lens. $179 at bass pro. I had $150 of gift cards and spent $40 out of pocket.

It was one helluva evening. We left the reception on a catamaran to go to the bars down the bay in Pensacola Beach. I missed my step getting off of the boat and ended up being caught between the dock pylon and the boat. My glasses were around my neck and did not make the fall.
