The photo is of Thiago carrying one of the game balls, signed by all his teammates.

It clearly states ´See you in Manchester´. Only DeGea could write that, now couldn´t he?

If it was an appearance clause in his contract, I would like to know who was aware of it during the season

They had plenty of opportunities to play a "weakened" lineup

I think Thiago has more of range in midfield than Mata. Mata is great but I think that Thiago can play deeper in the midfield as well as farther up the field.

I think Thiago can combine well with Carrick and Kagawa

I´m not saying it´s a direct replacement, I´m just surprised, that´s all.

Actually, I don´t know what they´d do with him, unless they sell Alexis and Tello.

If we keep the 4-2-3-1 and Rooney stays, I'd think Thiago would fit in the the 2 in a Carrick-type role. Carrick played his balls off this year for United, but he'll be 32 when the season starts. Between that position and possibly the Rooney role behind van Persie, Thiago will be able to come in right away and put in a ton of minutes.

Who would play next to Thiago in the 2? Cleverly and Thiago would be too offensive

Anderson could if he is fit and in form

Alright, Anderson can't

Phil Jones, Darren Fletcher if he can get it together, Wayne Rooney (but would probably kill David Moyes)

Hey Dandy, someone asked Brad Friedel who the best current keeper is:

Manuel Neuer is probably my choice right now. However, this changes often because there's always competition for places.

I'm sure Victor Valdes is never in that rotation.

I´m sure he isn´t. Nevertheless, my comment concering a ´one off, with everything on the line´stands.

I´m no Neuer hater, I´m simply saying his rep is superior to reality. He´s growing into it, I´ve admitted that, and also have admitted he is up there, and will be there (the best).

Jones, Fletcher, or a better ball-winning midfielder that I've been begging for.

Even if he could (he can't) they would still need somebody to come off the bench and play that position for the last half hour. Rooney won't be playing that deep (as you mentioned) and fletcher, unfortunately, definitely can not be counted on at this point.

I would be surprised to see Thiago playing regularly in a holding role at this point in his career in the EPL.
