a three game set with UNO?

Our schduling department is terrible. Get Indiana down here for a 3 game stint. Get UVA...something better than this crap

Any chance Scivicque is in the mix to catch or DH possibly? Or midweek relief?

I'm sure we'll play a handful of SWAC teams once again too

Three freshmen

What made you decide to put them in that order. How does Dakota compare to his brother coming out of HS, Blake started all 56 games as a freshman

who's going to be the "power guys" in the lineup obviously from what we had this year i assume this is the batting order with knowing limited info of guys coming in:

McMullen
Laird
Bregman
Ibarra
Longhi/Moore
Chinea
Longhi/Moore
Robertson
DeHart
Stevenson

Power guys are Chinea, Bregman, Longhi, DeHart. Don't be suprised to see Bregman lead the team next year.

Closer?

Probably going to be a JUCO guy such as Person, or even Devall or Reyonlds.

Broussard is also a power arm with great off speed.

They need to ramp up the schedule. If i were a season ticket holder I'd be pissed that its a weekend series they actually want money for. UNO i barely a Div 1 school

Next year Bregman, Robertson, and the entire outfield could have over 10-12 stolen bases. LSU's not going to be forced to play small ball but they'll be able to put more pressure on other teams in the base paths. Rhymes and Ross weren't the fastest point to point speed guys.

Exciting to hear. Mainieri used to be a lot more aggressive on the bases than he was this year. Hope with the right guys, we can get back to that.

I guess with the great hitters in the order, we didn't need to take too many chances.

Adam, do you really think Stevenson starts again next year? Just hard to imagine unless he figures out how to hit well above the mendoza line. Cant have a sub .200 hitter in the lineup once again. I like the idea of saving him for games that are close towards the end and subbing him in for defense.

I think the OF next year is a crap shoot to predict

McMullen/Laird/DeHart or Fraley
DeHart/Laird/Fraley (McMullen DH again)
DeHart/Stevenson/Laird

Foster possibly thrown in mix???

Just no idea what will happen there.

He'll backup at C

Just a random order. Dakota Dean is going to be great but the team his older brother stepped into was in way worse shape.

Would have finished the year with 8 HR instead of 6 if we werent playing in TD Ameritrade last 2 games

Should have had 2 homers in the CWS. I'm REALLY hoping they change the balls for next season like they've talked about.

Just a little more carry would make a TON of difference.

God this early season schedule is depressing.

Maybe so, but we do play Va Tech and the first 6 SEC weekend series will be a gauntlet (minus Georgia most likely)

Wish we could get him back as a great potential closer. But per this tweet, it sounds like he won't be back:
