If I was Tyler Moore, I'd consider leaving for somewhere else after the way PM told him to frick off once SEC play started.

He should be the starting 1B next year, but PM might once again send him to the pine. Then he would be screwed in regards to the draft and playing elsewhere.

I'm making the assumption that Ross and Ibarra return.

C - Ross
1B - Moore
2B - ?
SS - Bregman
3B - Ibarra
LF - Laird
CF - Stevenson
RF - McMullen

Pitching wise we lose a decent amount and the main guy I hope we get back is LaMarche. If we get him back I feel like as the season progresses we may be as good or maybe even a little better than this year.
S1 - Nola
S2 - Glenn
S3 - Newman

LaMarche (possible closer)
McCune, Fury, Sewald, Reynolds
I'm guessing keeping Rumbelow is a long shot.

There's a lot to work with here. Factor in whatever Freshman we have and another year of experience for guys who already played very well this year for the majority of the season and I think we can get back to Omaha.

Bad assumption.

Stevenson should not be in center hitting that poorly.

LaMarche tweeted yesterday he was sad he was wearing an LSU uniform for the last time.

I think this may be a pipe dream.

I will say this if Jared Foster doesn't have some everyday role on this team next year I think that will be a mistake. He was a very consistent bat when given the chance and he is the only hose we have from the outfield. I'd probably start him at RF over McMullen and let McMullen keep DH'ing.

ETA

I'd even be happy with LF Foster CF Laird RF McMullen....although I think Stevenson may turn into Maineri's next "too talented to bench" guy.

2/3s of the rotation back. Joe Broussard back healthy. Kurt McCune at full strength. Newman had good time. Fury pitched well down the stretch. Plus the young guys like Sewald, Reynolds, and Devall starting to form. That doesn't include any impact incoming freshman.

Until July 13th, just assume LaMarche, Ross, and Rumbelow are gone.

Who catches if we lose Ross? or plays first if it's Moore?

Rumbelow would be the only one that I would think Maineri and Dunn could do some inside recruiting on. That is a total assumption without knowing anything about his personal situation off the field.

MOT and Adam can answer if they wish, but from what I have read, a lot of freshman may force guys out that are on the team like Chris S., possibly Stevenson, etc.

I think all of the guys that were drafted in the top 10 rounds are gone that are JR's. I would think Ross will be back.

It will be either Chris Chinea or Michael Barash at catcher next year.

Is it a given that Jacoby leaves? He has 1st round talent, but it would definitely be a risk to return...

I think Chinea is catcher next year if Ross leaves....he showed flashes of hitting competence....never really was tested behind the plate. We will see.

That has been the thought all year I believe.

Rumbelow is gone from a very reliable source.

If Tyler Moore isnt in the lineup, then this board and myself will go nuts next year

Yeah, I've gathered that...just wondering if anything concrete was out there. I too, think he's gone, but if by some miracle he came back, it would be huge.

We still have a ton of talent, and now with Omaha experience, returning. It took Dean and those guys two seasons (08,09).

If everything comes together this post-season could end up a positive, both from a motivation and experience perspective.
