You guys remember Bobby from the Sopranos? He was probably the nicest mobster ever, fictional or otherwise. He seemed totally out of place in La Cosa Nostra, it was almost like he only became a part of the Soprano family because his father was part of the family.

He actually hadn't murdered anyone until Tony practically forced him to in the final season. Other than that, Bobby was true to his woman, you never really saw him be violent with anyone except maybe a couple of scenes, and other than that, he seemed like a lovable big guy who just happened to be in the Mob. Awesome portrayal by Steve Schrippa.

Provided some good comic relief. One funny line was when Tony told Bacala he should seriously consider salads. And when Bacala was leaning on Tony's suburban, Tony told him to get off before he tipped the fricker over.

He tried to kick the shite out of Paulie when one of the rides broke and hurt Janice. Pauly went cheap on hiring the ride operators for the feast

Definitely, I mean, Bobby had a side to him that was tough, when it came to his family and those he cared about, he was fearless. When he felt that Tony was insulting Janice, it didn't matter to him that Tony was the boss, he threw down with Tony all the same. Now, he was also drunk at the time, so that probably contributed to it!

He is definitely in my top 5 of characters on the show, and he held his own against Tony in that great fight scene.

and he beat Tony.

didn't that have everything to do with Tony arranging for Bobby to do a hit?

I remember after he killed that guy, it showed him going home to his kids and having such a sorrowing look on his face when he hugged them. That was when the guilt was truly washing over him.

Tony could be a real a-hole

This is true LooseCannon, Tony was PO'd that Bobby beat him, and purposely sent Bobby to do the hit, knowing that Bobby had never killed before.

I was actually pretty sad after the scene at the miniature train shop. Bobby was a good man. Wish more of New York guys got killed for that.

He was the only one who didn't have those little moments in every episode that reminded you he was a scary sociopath. Or at least his reminders didn't come as often. The hobby shop scene really got to me.

He started as Uncle June's house assistant basically, right? Not really the normal soldier role from the beginning

He's a friend, and one of the nicest guys you cold ever hope to meet. Great guy who treats his family well. Never seen the Sopranos. I know.

Joe, he was technically in Junior's crew before Tony and Uncle June's war. He basically was the only guy from Junior's crew to survive the fallout, although I believe Patsy Parisi was also in Junior's crew originally.

So I think Bobby started off as a soldier, who was then assigned to take care of Junior. Then, he rose through the ranks as the series progressed. Marrying Janice was probably a good move for his career.

Right, I haven't watched the series in a long time and I knew he hadn't killed anyone until the last season

I'm gonna rewatch this series probably early next year. It's been at least 4 years since I last watched it. The Wire too.

I'm on the last season of Six Feet Under and I'd put it right there with those two mentioned above. HBO put out some incredible series in the 2000s.
