Is critical... LSU peaked back in April. Vandy peaked early. State is peaking now...

So true and that is what Bertman teams were always good at!

can't argue with you. LSU did a good job of it the latter part of '08 and certainly in '09

The secrect is you are looking at things in reverse and trying to find a pattern. I guarentee teams have won the CWS that were "struggling" going in. It happens in every sport. The Ravens lost 4 of 5 going into the playoffs this year.

If you win it all you are "peaking" by definition.

It also looks to me as if the other teams know this park.

UCLA and UNC have looked like they have been here thus far, LSU has not.

Exactly.

Can someone explain how a team that won the SEC Tourney going what 4-1? Then swept the regionals 3-0 and Supers 2-0 isn't "peaking"

Yep. Regular season and tournament records never mattered. By the time postseason came, LSU always seemed to move into peak mode.

The weekend of 4/26, LSU lost 2 of 3 to USCe, MSU was swept by Vandy. From that point thru the Super Regionals LSU was 19-2, MSU was 16-5, so who was peaking going into the CWS again?

Credit State for playing well and winning their 1st 2 games, they've won the last 3 by 1 run each but they were not "peaking" better than LSU.

Even with those wins, if it wasn't for one player at time. fx Jacoby Jones.... and this guy or that.... LSU just may not have won those games if they didn't have just what they needed to win,...

Offense hasn't resonated ''confidence'' all month
