Does anyone believe the new president will pursue any direction not previously approved by the Mullahs ?

When the Chinese begin to try to control our Congress, or we pay for the Chinese crimes against humanity, you will hear from me.

I also don't hear a lot of support for Chinese crimes here from our Zionist enablers and Evangelical dolts. Why don't you post some crap in support of Chinese crimes or offenses and see what happens.

He said Khamenei has given him full authority to negotiate on nuclear matters.

I have no problem with the news source.

It's the fact you believe the Iranians.

There is no doubt what their endgame is.

Study what the Persians have been about through history. They will make the bomb if and when they can.

For the record, I don't trust any government, including our own. All I did was introduce a news story. It's up to you to decide whether you think political leaders are leveling with us or not.

Since this thread got bumped...
quote:

The world does not recognize this but it is interesting that you do compare the Zionist entity to the Chinese communist government, they are indeed both violators of international law. Within international law Tibet remains an independent nation under illegal occupation. As recognized by the US Congress:
Unfortunately, this is not correct. The official U.S. position is that Tibet is a part of China.
quote:

As a matter of official policy, the U.S. government recognizes Tibet as part of China and has always done so, although some dispute the historical consistency of this U.S. position.49
quote:

49 Some assert that past U.S. actions that treated Tibet as if it were an independent state in effect signaled U.S. recognition. Michael C. van Walt van Praag, for instance, in The Status of Tibet: History, Rights, and Prospects in International Law Westview Press, Boulder Colorado, 1987), states that “Washington supported Tibet and treated it as an independent State, even recognizing its de facto (italics included) independence.” p. 139. In the daily press briefing of October 8, 1987, responding to a question concerning what year the United States formally recognized Tibet as a part of China, the State Department’s Public Affairs office issued the following statement: “We have never recognized Tibet as a sovereign state independent of China. We first made the statement that we considered Tibet to be a part of China in 1978; however, our earlier formulations were not inconsistent with the statement, and we have never challenged China’s claim. No third country recognizes Tibet as a state independent of China.”
Tibet: Problems, Prospects, and U.S. Policy Prepared by the Congressional Research Service.

Trackfan, it isn't about trusting any government.

It's about the entire history of Persians. They want one thing only and it is power. They have done this for 2000 years.

Don't trust anything they say. I consider them our biggest threat.

You're clueless. The average person there is as dedicated to your so called 2000 year cause as the average American is to the founding fathers. Tehran alone has millions of educated, technologically advanced, American-loving people. Talk to the young people from there. People like Ahmadinejad represent Iranians about as well as Obama's views represent those of this board. I'm not sure what the source is of the propaganda you've been fed is but you should seek it out and end it. When shite like this is going on and you've been led to fear a country that doesn't even have nuclear weapons, you really do need a wake up call.

News story? I read a paragraph and quit. seemed like an editorial to me, an opinion piece.

So why do we think it's our job to say who can and can't have which weapons. Let them build a nuke, they won't use it anyways. We'll just be forced to recognize their opinion more.

Let's hear Iran say the word Israel and admit Israel has a right to live in secure borders in the family of nations. Then I will believe they are not a threat.

Sounds a lot like Israels concern and not ours.

Consider Iran's track record. They openly support terrorist who mean us harm.

Now I'm not telling you that we need to invade Iran, but Iran's track record has demonstrated to me that they can not be trusted and our security could be or would be threatened if they had nukes.
