He has been very lucky to not have had any serious injuries, but looking at D-Wade and Bosh, who were drafted in the same class, they have fallen off quite a bit. Wade has issues, and he is declining rapidly. Bosh seems to have regressed since coming to Miami.

Melo, also in the same class, is still shooting lights out, but he's a great scorer and pull up shooter not a slasher and aggressive to the rim type like LeBron and Wade.

The way LeBron plays, it's just a matter of time before a serious injury. So, how long does he keep it up? How many more years does he have where he is still a force?

As long as he can face any team that is not from Texas in the finals, I guess he will be fine.

Bosh hasn't regressed, they just aren't using him to what his skillet dictates (low post with a little mid range game mixed in). A 6'10 235 lb PF should not be playing the 5.

As for LeBron, he was barely the best this season. Durant will be better next year, but ESPN and driveby fans won't acknowledge until the following year.

There is no telling. He truly is a freak of nature.

I think he'll be at this better than Jordan level for another 3 years.

There is no reason to think he won't have incredible longevity

It depends on the team around him. If he stays in Miami with Spolstra and has to average 25+ ppg and guard big men then only another 3 years. If he goes to a team that has big men and a coach who just ask him to run the offense then who knows he might be able to play at an elite level until he's in his late 30s

He plays like a damn steam train. 100% go all the time. He guards centers that outweigh him by 50 lbs. He challenges everyone who puts up a shot. He guards the fastest best players on a nightly basis having to go hard both ways. He is truly physically gifted, but there are plenty of reasons to think that a devastating injury is just around the corner.

So your logic for this is he plays hard and can defend the 1-5? Sorry, but I disagree. Between his physical attributes, history of staying healthy, and the constant advancements in PT/medicine I see the opposite happening

So, your logic is that because he hasn't had an injury, he won't have one?
I'm sure you are right.

Having to do twice as much as any other NBA player shouldn't have any bearing on whether or not he is putting himself at a higher risk of an injury. Someone who's game is full speed and slashing and drawing fouls who plays above the rim will be able to sustain that style of play just as long as someone who is a pure shooter such as a Ray Allen.

Having to guard someone in the post who is 4" taller and outweighs you by 50-60lbs leaning on you, banging you, elbowing you etc. on a nightly basis would take just as much of a toll on your body as guarding someone your own size or smaller.

Sorry, it was crazy of me to think the King wouldn't be able to continue this level of play for another 7-8 years seeing as how he hasn't had an injury during his first 10.

at what stuffing that stat sheet?

Because Jordan didn't care about his stat sheet but rather winning titles. And at this moment, he is not better than Jordan.

It's more logical than thinking that he's "due" for a serious injury...

Eta: you actually said "devastating", which is even worse. Nice job
