I'm thinking about going to check out what the pawn shops have to offer.

yes, but don't expect any great deals because it is a used gun.

Used guns are where you find the great deals

Many years ago I found a Fox Sterlingworth SxS shotgun at a local pawn shop. The shop owner said it had been sitting for there for years. I paid $250 for it and later traded the gun(regretably...). Be sure to have the gun looked over but you can certainly find some good ones from time to time.

I must be in the minority.

I have never seen anything but over-priced, wore out crap at pawn shops.

It is possible. I did it once. I haven't been able to do it sense though. Almost always it will highlight the entire message box

Yes, but you are late to that party. They are picked over by a lot of folks. I have bought several, one being a 357 model 13 new, 45ACP tricked out ipsc pistol, my best was a 39A Marlin 22 old model in 90% for $75. Lets see, I still have a match 30/06 that I restocked with a full bed hogue That I gave $350 for w good Leopold scope.

Yeah you can buy good guns at Pawn shops.

Yes. And remember, pawn shops don't do background checks.... According to the media that is.
