I can't stand how after every foul shot, every single player on the team goes to tap the player's hand even if he misses it. I also hate in baseball when the batter has to strap and unstrap his gloves then adjust his crotch before getting in position. I remember reading an article years ago that stated games would be 20 minutes shorter if they cut all of that crap out.

most of that stuff is just things they have been doing since they were little playing ball. they dont even think of it. having a routine in a sport like tennis is good

The free throw thing is supposed to help with your free throws. The baseball one is all about giving you time to think about what you need to do and what pitch you think is coming.

Play Lebron full-time at PG? I don't see that working out well.

And they learn it from the pros.

Posters In-Thread Rituals That Delay the Game

Does JabarkusRussell always have to pose a question and vent every time he starts a thread? Or how SabiDojo always talks about Lebron and maybe posts a GIF. I read that TD threads would cut 20 minutes of reading time if they didn't do that stuff

If this stuff really bothers you then you have issues. Sports are supposed to be enjoyable; a release from the real world. I think it's time re-examine your life if someone giving their teamate some incouragement after a free throw bothers you.

Most guys who play tennis are better athletes than football players.
