The folks are coming up to visit and they're craving for Mexican food. What would you recommend at a moderate price? Maybe between $15 and $25 entrees?

At that price range I'd say Coyote Blues.

Mestizos and Coyote Blues are the best in terms of originality and flavor.

La carretta and superior grill are really mediocre/average tex mex spots

Coyote Blues. I like that it's a bit different. I've always had good food and a good experience there.

Coyote Blues by far. Ninfas, Superior Grill and Mi Padres have crappy food.

I don't know if they serve dinner but La Tiendita needs to needs to be given consideration. True Mexican vs Tex-Mex cuisine, and the prices are more than fair.
