So you avoided the hell out of that one huh! He won all of those awards b/c of his bat obviously.

Nominee for the Brooks Wallace Award - Best shortstop in the country.

National Freshman of the Year by both the NCBWA and Baseball America.

First-team All-SEC.

So those awards are for batting? Please go back to watching the girls volleyball team and stay away from the baseball program.

CPM should have yelled at Katz for hitting that homerun. He made all of our other hitters think they were going to hit two homers each.

Our only tape measure guy hit a bomb that didn't clear the bullpen. Then Ibarra, who flew out to the warning track on maybe the hardest ball he hits this year, tries to copy him and flies out again.

He didn't have to yell. They should have seen it with their own two eyes.

You make it sound so simple as if players can call their shot. As if Ibarra could actually walk up to the plate wanting to hit a HR and come really close two times. If only hitting was so simple.

Ibarra: Hey coach, watch me swing for the fence.

Coach: What happened? You missed!

Ibarra: I'll try it again coach.

Coach: If you just hit in the gap every time you would be batting 1.000, be the #1 overall pick, make millions, and be famous.

Ibarra: Nah coach, I saw Katz hit it out. I can do it, too!

This guy is an absolute tard (although in his defense, there are a ton in all the threads today). He has been saying the same thing the entire thread. I think he actually thinks there was a conversation between Ibarra and PM that was along the lines of what you just said.

So you mean to tell me had he batted .295 he would have won National Freshman of the yr as well as SEC freshman of the yr b/c of his outstanding play at shortstop. STFU and open your damn eyes. The kid is good no doubt but he won all those awards b/c he batted .380 which is better than any other freshman in the country.

No, jackass. I think if PM tells them to stop swinging at shite for an inning or two, he starts walking people, is forced to throw stuff in the strike zone, and then gets his pitches sprayed all over the field.

I guaranfrickingtee the mentality of an undisciplined 20 year old when his bombs aren't leaving the park is "shite--I guess I just have to hit it harder next time." It's PM's job to screw their heads on straight and tell it like it is.

You act like we faced Jonathan Gray 2.0 We faced a little bitch who wasn't drafted on the first day and cried about it on national television.

I'm glad to know you are in the heads of some of the best college baseball players in the country. I mean surely you've been there before in you JV game in high school.

Where did I say anything about Plutko being an overly dominant pitcher? All I said was that you are a fricking moron because you just think our hitters were all swinging for the fences harder and harder every at bat and that a simple word from the coach and taking pitches was the simple key to winning the game.

The Brooks Wallace Award is for outstanding play at the position of SS and is only awarded to SS's now.

Plus some of us spent some very cold nights and hot days in Alex Box watching him during some pretty mundane games this year while you were climbing broke back hills in Texas.

Completely disagree. "Not bring there before" had absolutely nothing to do with the reason we lost.

I have supreme confidence that now that the first game is out of the way, LSU will play very, very well.

Well it may be too late for that.

We will beat UNC tomorrow, and there is no way UCLA beats us again. It took them playing a perfect game to beat us last night. No way they can do that again.

Totally agree. The loss to Stony Brook did more than ruin our post season last year. It may be the difference in winning it all this year. We really needed that experience. It's one reason Skips teams were successful. In the years we didn't win it all but made it there, it was valuable experience that helped us win it all the season or so after. Don't underestimate that being the difference last night.

I agree. The Tigers had the jitters just like hen you fish with someone new for the first time and try to act like you know what you are doing but get more backlashes and hang ups than you ever normally would

He has 17 errors this season. Personally, I thinks he tries to be fancy sometimes and doesn't get in front the ball.
