Everyone is going to make errors from time to time, but Bregman's tendency to play ground balls off to his side just seems to be so error prone. Anyone know why he doesn't just get himself in front of the ball more often and at least keep it in front of him??

Really?? Was that necessary? I assure you that I'm just as pissed off as you are that we lost, but I guess you just can't keep your composure

I thought it was hit hard at first, but he definitely had time. It's been a problem.

Him charging it was a bigger issue on that play, but given the situation, he can't let that get by.

It wasn't nearly as bad as ross' error though

You are 100 % on the money. I have wondered this all year. I don't know about y'all, but that was the first thing they taught us in Dixie Youth. Get your body in front of the ball. I don't get it, but obviously the coaches don't have a problem with it because I've lost count of how many times Bregman has done that this year.

Yeh, he's been doing that side swipe all year, and its run up his arm a few times, but he keeps doing it...

It's happened a couple other times but he didn't get Freshman of the Year by accident.

He's young, it happens.

He got it 99% because of his offense...

all he had to do was stay in front and we more than likely win that game

I know he's young, but one of the first things you learn when fielding is to keep the ball in front of you. Even if he just keeps it in front of him but doesn't get the out, the run still doesn't score. I'm not questioning his overall game though.

He made an error. It's baseball.

I think the guy running to second threw him too because he may have been expecting the ball to hit the runner and he may have tried to guess where the ball was going to go when it hit the runner.

But that didn't happen and it hit the side of his glove.

Jumping all on the kid's case won't change anything. (Not saying you did that).

Yeah I'm not jumping on him or anything cuz everyone makes errors. I was just noticing his fielding technique, and I think some of those errors are correctable just by staying in front of the ball

I'm with you.

Just seems that some on here turn so quickly on our own. (not you)

We made too many errors.
