Well, it's time for this team to prove they are a championship bunch. They need four wins in a row. No reason they cannot do it.

Yep. They've overcome adversity all year long. I think they do it my man again starting Tuesday.

I'm going to do something, no way I'm going to be at work when this game is going on.

I've got a meeting from 11:30-2:00 tomorrow an hour away from the office. This has the potential to be bad news if I have to ride with my bosses. They could give a frick about LSU baseball.

I was just called by my new company to start my first day tomorrow, background check passed a day earlier than I expected.

"I hate to say it... but the deadened bats sent 2 teams who should be in the winner's bracket down into the loser's bracket... Oregon St. (should've been a walk off 3-run homer) and LSU (2 def. homers and possibly a 3rd stayed in in a 1 run game)"

If the older bats had been used then the rest of the game changes, too, not just the swings you pointed out. Miss State hit a ton of balls right on the button that Oregon St. was able to run down. You can't say that Oregon St. wins the game if old bats were used on that one swing, without considering what might have changed earlier in he game. Miss State hit the ball harder than Oregon State -- period. You're cherry-picking a single at bat in a scenario that probably wouldn't even have come about had the game's previous hits not traveled where they did.

As for your game lastnight, errors cost you -- not dead bats. That ball to shortstop only gets hit harder with a live bat -- if using your rationale.

Dead bats and this ball park is way to big for the bats that they are using. They need to bring in the fences or change the bats or the balls. Balls would be cheaper.

No kidding. UCLA is one more bunt away from giving away an entire inning worth of outs. Bold strategy for a team that can't hit anyway.

SS misplayed the ball. He has to charge that and if the runner hits him it's interference. He thinks he can play back on every ball. Charge the ball and make the play. Don't let the ball play you. CPM has to coach smarter. If the Tigers go up there swinging like they are in Baton Rouge then this will be a short stay in Omaha. They have to adjust the game to the field. Trying to hit the ball out of the park is going to be a disaster like it was last night. It doesn't matter what those balls would have done in another park. This isn't another park.

Not really. When they bunt a man into scoring position it reduces the number of hits they need to string together in order to score a run. In other words, their coach knows they aren't going to string together 3-4 hits in an inning. They need to get that runner in scoring position and try to drive him in with 1 hit.
